This page presents arguments related to vegetarian from a Christian philosophy and point of view.

Read the (The Christian Argument for Vegetarianism) by Rev. Dr. Andrew Lindzey for a thought-provoking analysis on the subject.

Go also to some thoughts by (Joan H. Young) for an "off-the wall" analysis of Christianity and vegetarianism. Joan H. Young is not a vegetarian, but she presents an excellent argument in favor of vegetarianism from a Chrsitian point of view.

I have also written my own essay on the subject called Vegetarian in the Context of Evangelical Christianity. As an evangelical Christian, I have often felt frustration at the lack of understanding that many vegetarians have of Christianity when they try to use arguments from the Bible to open the minds of evangelical Christians to the possibility of a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. This essay is written with the hope that I can help vegetarians activists to better understand why many of their arguments are not very effective in convincing evangelical Christians to be vegetarians or vegans.
