Independence Rock State Historical site is located about 50 miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming on Highway 220. The first photo is an awesome shot of a bird in flight! I got within a foot of the bird while it was sitting on the side of the rock but it didn't flee! It started to fly a fraction of a second before I snapped a picture and the result is what you see! The second picture was taken several minutes before the first picture and is probably a different bird. The third photo shows the beauty of Independence Rock. The 4th photo was taken at the top of Independence Rock and it shows several of the Western Michigan University students that I was with when I visited Independence Rock.
