These photos were taken on October 22, 2012 during a short two day trip
that I took to North Dakota. I stayed a couple of nights in Fargo
and spent one day traveling westward along I-94 to various cities,
including Valley City and Jamestown. One of the most
interesting places I visited was the World's Largest Buffalo Statue
located near the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown. It can be seen
from the highway
while driving along I-94.
The statue is 26 feet tall and
46 feet long!
And, yes, it is anatomically
correct!
It weighs over 60 tons!
A view of the buffalo from a
distance that highlights the breathtaking surrounding landscape!
Another view taken from the
observation deck of the National Buffalo Museum.
