Snowfall is measured by Dr. Robert Ruhf and Amber Hutson at Western Michigan University, with occasional assistance from Mark McLain.

Dr. Robert Ruhf is a Senior Research Associate within the Mallinson Institute for Science Education at Western Michigan University. He is primarily interested in snow, but has other interests as well. He recently co-authored a book called Ten Days: An American Visits a Secondary School in Northern Uganda. Records tied or set this winter:

1. A daily snow depth record was set on November 1 (a trace; this is the first time snow has been observed on the ground on this date since records began in 1998).
