          Episode Summary:
After her volcano science project blows up in her face, Caitlin is forced to find a new project for science class. Coach Lawrence, who is also the science teacher, tells her to use her camera to test the scientific method. He tells her to test a hypothesis that people will look at her pictures and see them the way that she sees them. While taking pictures of the ranch, Caitlin catches someone walking inside the barn. Griffen later discovers that someone destroyed his science project that was in the barn. Caitlin's picture shows that it was Brett who was in the barn. Griffen accuses Brett of destroying his science project. Brett denies it, but he acknowledges that he went into the barn to look at Griffen's charts. Nikki (Griffen's girlfriend) takes Brett's side. Griffen wants nothing more to do with Brett. Nikki breaks up with Griffen. Dori later learns, however, that a wild mare got into the barn and destroyed Griffen's project. Brett was telling the truth. Griffen asks Brett to forgive him but Brett refuses. Griffen later writes a song for Brett and Nikki and sings it to them, asking them to forgive him. They forgive him. Meanwhile, Caitlin shows several of her photos to different people. They all have different interpretations of the pictures. Caitlin disproves her hypothesis that people see what she sees when they look at her photos. She gets an "A" on the project.

          Episode Highlights:
          1. After Griffen accuses Brett of destroying his science project, Nikki returns all the stuff that she borrowed from Griffen. Griffen asks, "Why are you bringing all this stuff back?" Nikki answers, "Because of the way you are right now. I just don't wanna' be with you." Griffen exclaims, "But I didn't do anything! Brett did!" Nikki responds, "No, I don't think he did. He's never lied to me before so I believe him. If I can believe him, why can't you?" Nikki then gets right to the point and tells him why she can no longer trust him: "If you can turn on your best friend, you can turn on me too."

          2. After realizing that he was wrong to accuse Brett of destroying his project, Griffen has a talk with Caitlin. Caitlin says, "You can have Brett and Nikki back." Girffen asks, "How? What I did proves I'm a totally wasted piece of cellular matter." Caitlin jokingly responds, "Well, you've always been that." But then she seriously adds, "But they loved you anyway. Griffen, what you have with Nikki and Brett is really deep. I think you just need to show them again why you mean so much to them." It is this talk that gives Griffen the strength to write a song and sing to Nikki and Brett in order to regain their friendship.

          3. Will has been refusing to have anything to do with Caitlin ever since Caitlin decided to help Eric clean up the damage they that she and Will did to Eric's crop. (See the episode Outlaws.) Caitlin decides to confront Will about it. She says to him. "Why are you being such a jerk?" Will responds, "You made your choice, Caitlin. You chose Eric." Caitlin responds, "We damaged his crop!" Will declares, "And I dealt with it!" Caitlin says, "No, you paid him off!" Will says, "Caitlin, we changed things! Why can't you handle that?" Caitlin says, "All we did was ruin some grain. You need to stop lying to yourself." Will walks away saying, "Just leave me alone." Caitlin later talks to Dori about Will. She says, "He's really sensitive, and he's so strong and so smart. And even though he's smart he won't admit that he needs help. I think that's why he's so angry at me. Maybe if he could see how messed up he is, he'd let me help him." Dori says, "Maybe he will. Someday."
