"I am very impressed with your story. For the past year I have been an on again and off again vegetarian. I hate the slaughter of animals and I get sick just thinking about the blood, urine, etc. that may still be in the meat upon cooking it. Since April 2001, I have eaten meat twice. I slipped up because I was extremely hungry one afternoon and drove through McDonald's drive-thru and order a combo meal. The other incident was at a friend's house who had just baked some bar-b-que pork chops. I couldn't resist. I ate two pieces. I've regretted ever since. Today is July 3, 2001 and I have vowed to never eat meat again. Your story is an inspiration. Keep up the good work."

"I read the Christian/Vegetarian stuff with interest. I personally was never keen on the problems that came with eating meat when I was about 4 or 5 years old (i.e., gristle, bone, etc) but as I grew up I became convinced that meat eating was a moral issue. I don't believe anyone can be believe in a God Who created life but Who also sanctions meaningless death at the hands of humankind (especially when His intention is that we be vegetarian, (c.f., Genesis 1:29 & Isaiah 11:7, etc). If God ordained a fleshless diet and will restore it at the end then why are we waiting - shouldn't Christians also seek to live by God's pre-fall ordinations? Shouldn't we get together and encourage others in the Body of Christ to trust Nature (which God designed perfectly and sufficently for our needs) for our diet and health? Thanks Bob for your thoughts and the forum for Christ."

"I am very glad that I'd seen your homepage. The world is full of those who don't respect animals. People get sick and become pig-faces when they eat too much pork. They don't see that this is wrong. If I had money and time I would like to have a nice pet-pig in my house. They are lovely animals. Have several good days!" Marcel (161.142.2.11) marcelk@bigfoot.com

"Your vegetarian page was excellent - I found it after looking in a friends guestbook. I noticed that you had one of my pages linked, "Funny things people say about vegetarianism!" Thanks. I will have to add a link to your page on my veggie page sometime. I loved the "How I became a vegetarian" section, that was great, I always love reading personal stories on the subject. Anyway, keep up the great work." Meridith (130.111.49.137) Meridith_Burwood@umit.maine.edu
