The Weather on the Road...

(The Weather: On The Road from Michigan to Boston)
This is a very informal story that I wrote for the fun of it. It describes the child-like excitement that I got from encountering various weather phenomena on the road between Kalamazoo, Michigan and Boston, Massachusetts. The story takes place in November of 1999. Have you ever crossed a cold front from the reverse side? Does the "urban heat island effect" cause leaves to stay on trees longer in autumn? What is it like to be in a van for 15 hours straight with moderate to heavy rain falling the entire time? Read this paper for the answer to these and other trivial questions!
